Mark S. Allen is an eight-time Emmy Award-winning television host, producer, filmmaker, and founding member of the Critics Choice Association. He first gained national attention as host of Short Attention Span Theater on Comedy Central, and later created and hosted the Emmy Award-winning Mark at the Movies on Reelz, followed by the syndicated series Extra Butter TV. He currently serves as executive producer and host of Take A Look, an entertainment program distributed internationally. Allen began his career alongside Lisa Ling on the syndicated show Scratch and has spent decades covering film and television, interviewing actors, filmmakers, and industry professionals across both studio and independent projects. As a filmmaker, he was recently inducted into the p.g.a, and has written, directed, and produced nine features, including APParition with Mena Suvari and Kevin Pollak, the comedy Ballbuster with Jerry O’Connell, and the MMA drama Notorious Nick. His credits also include Amy’s F It List, which received audience recognition at the Cannes World Film Festival.
