Manager, New Partnerships Preston Chakara leads the financial side of Alpha’s new partnership process, overseeing valuations, due diligence, and deal structuring for prospective partners joining the platform. He works closely with practice owners and their teams to understand the full financial picture of their business, ensuring every valuation is thoughtful, transparent, and grounded in the story behind the numbers.

In his role, Preston partners with Alpha’s leadership, investors, and lenders to align on deal economics and help build strong foundations for long-term success. He focuses on making diligence feel collaborative rather than invasive, guiding partners through the process with clear communication and helping them understand both the value of what they have built and the opportunities ahead.

Prior to joining Alpha, Preston worked with notable organizations including Deloitte Consulting, NewSpring Capital, Sonepar, and Incora. Across his eight-year career, he has supported dozens of M&A transactions and helped design long-term strategic programs for the federal government.

Preston loves getting to know the owners behind each practice and hearing the story of how they built something meaningful from the ground up. He finds it especially rewarding to combine relationship-building with valuation strategy, helping partners move forward with confidence while knowing their legacy is respected.
